Three generations. One handshake.

Ray Calder started Brazos Shield in 1984 with one pickup, one sprayer and a promise to treat every house like his mother lived there. His son Wade still runs a route every week.

Our story

We’re your neighbors first.

Ray grew up between the Brazos and the cedar breaks west of Weatherford, so he knew what lived under Parker County porches before he ever owned a sprayer. When he opened the shop on Pecan Hollow Trail, the plan was simple: show up when you say you will, tell people the truth about what you find, and never sell anybody something they don’t need.

Forty-some years later, his son Wade and daughter-in-law Marisol run the place. The trucks are newer and the products are smarter, but the handshake is the same. Most of our customers found us because a neighbor told them to call.

Tell the truth

If you don’t have termites, we’ll tell you. If a $20 door sweep fixes it, we’ll tell you that too.

02

Show up

A two-hour window, a text when we’re on the way, and a tech who’s on time.

03

Treat it like ours

We use the same products, the same way, at our own homes and with our own kids.

04

Stay local

Our money stays in Parker County: Little League jerseys, the FFA show and the food pantry.
